Day 1: Arrive to Arequipa

Upon your arrival in Arequipa, you will be assisted and transferred to your hotel in the city for rest and acclimatize. Rest of day at leisure

Day 2: Arequipa City Tour with visit to Santa Catalina Monastery

Today you will visit the Ciudad Blanca (White City), one of the most important in Peru, surrounded by three volcanoes. Founded in 1540, the city has a historic downtown made out almost totally of sillar (a white volcanic stone), from where the city gets its name. Take a tour around the Main Square and its colonial buildings, the Church of the Society of Jesus, beautiful exponent from the mixed baroque art and Spanish churrigueresque baroque from the XVII century, along with colorful fresco paintings at the San Ignacio Dome, known as America’s Sixtine Chapel. The visit includes Santa Catalina Convent, that rather than a cloistered convent, represents a beautiful XVI century citadel, with Spanish cities pure style, such as Andalusia. Going on with the tour, we will appreciate the typical districts of Cayma and Yanahuara, the latter with its viewpoint and church.

Day 3: Transfer from Arequipa to Colca Canyon

We will leave the hotel very early to start the journey to Yura Village and Aguada Blanca National Reserve and Pampa Cañahuas. We will make a stop at Patapampa and then we will head for Chivay, where you will be able to have lunch at a typical restaurant or at your hotel.

Day 4: Visit Cruz del Condor – Transfer to Puno (B)

After breakfast we will leave very early to the Cross of the Condor (Cruz del Condor), the best location to admire the Colca Canyon and the flight of the majestic condor. After leisure time exploring the area  we will visit the picturesque villages in Maca to arrive at Chivay. Where you will be assisted to board a shared bus from Chivay to Puno, arriving to Puno at 7pm (19.00) where you will be picked up and transferred to the hotel.

Day 5: Tour on Lake Titicaca, Islands of Taquile and Uros

Today you will explore the world’s highest navigable lake – Lake Titicaca. Your full day tour will include visits to Taquile & Uros Island. Taquile is one of the three main islands on the Lake. The people of Taquile are known for their intricate weavings and knitwear. After lunch on Taquile we visit the incredible floating reed island of Uros. It is alleged that the people who originally inhabited these islands fled from the mainland to escape the Inca in the 13th Century and self-fashioned their refuge on these floating islands, in the middle of South America’s largest Lake. Day 6: Inka Express bus from Puno to Cusco

Morning departure for first-class Inka Express bus to Cusco. En route you will appreciate the nearby valleys and wonderful landscapes. The route includes a stop at La Raya pass (4,300 meters above sea level), natural boundary between Cusco and Puno, from where you can have excellent photographic shots of the Andean snowcapped mountains. There will also be a stop at the Raqchi ruins, known as Temple of the God Wiracocha, and Andahuaylillas village, where there is a beautiful church from the XVII century that has an impressive organ decorated with angels and cherubs. You will have lunch at a local restaurant. Arrival in Cusco at evening. Reception at bus station and transfer to your hotel.
