    Paraty is one of Brazil’s most picturesque villages with an extremely well-preserved historic center that seems essentially untouched since the 1700s. It is also the perfect base for you to explore the beautiful surrounding region. On this four-day tour, you’ll have plenty of time to discover Paraty at your leisure. Then, come along with us as we take you to some of the most beautiful secluded beaches for some swimming, sunbathing and snorkeling. A morning at a cachaça (Brazilian rum) distillery will be the cherry on top.

    Day 1: Transfer from Rio to Paraty (with guide)

    Today you will have a four-hour drive south of Rio along the Costa Verde (Green Coast) until you reach the village of Paraty.

    Day 2: Half-Day private boat tour and snorkeling

    Today you will embark on a private guided boat tour that sails to several of the most beautiful beaches and islands in the bay of Paraty. You will be at your leisure to explore and decide which beaches you want to stop in for sunbathing, swimming, and snorkeling. We will try to avoid the large crowds and take you to some of the most beautiful islands of Paraty such as Comprida, Algodão, Cotia, Praia Vermelha, Lulas, and Saco da Velha amongst many others.

    Day 3: Waterfalls and Cachaça Distillery

    You will leave Paraty at 11am today to head to the beautiful National Forest of Serra da Bocaina. Our first stop will be at an old cachaça distillery. Here you will learn about the production of cachaça and also have the opportunity for a tasting. Afterwards, we will take you to some of the area’s most beautiful falls including Tobogan (where you can slide down a natural water slide), Poço Inglês, and Pedra Branca. Our tour will end with a visit to a 17th century fort.

    Day 4: Depart Paraty and Return to Rio

    Today you will be met at your hotel in Paraty and transferred back to Rio. Upon arrival in Rio you will be taken to your hotel.
