Good to Know:

  • May is one of the best times to visit Peru. Rain season has just ended and the land is lush and vibrant.
  • The key to packing for Cusco is layers. Days are warm and nights are cold.

  • In 2014 there were 3 primary artisan craft breweries in Peru. Today in 2017 there almost 100.
  • In 2016 Cerveceria del Valle Sagrado was won “Best Brewery” from The Copa Latinoamericana de Cervezas Artesanales.

  • As you travel from Cusco to Machu Picchu you will actually be decreasing in altitude. Sacred Valley is 2,000ft lower than Cusco which is 11,00ft.
  • Machu Picchu is located at 8,000ft.
