Day 1: Arrival and Private City Tour

Upon arriving in Santiago, you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel to drop off your things and regroup. In the afternoon, you will be picked up for a private city tour through the Chilean capital. The tour includes visits to the city’s civic center, the neoclassical La Moneda Palace, the Plaza de Armas, the exuberantly landscaped Santa Lucia Hill and a visit to the traditional handicraft market, Pueblito Los Dominicos.

Near your hotel, you will find many pleasant restaurants offering signature cuisine as well as lively pubs, cultural centers, art galleries and a variety of shopping opportunities ranging from local crafts to exclusive shops.

There, you will be met by local staff who will take you to your hotel for some well-deserved down time. You will be spending the night at Awasi Hotel, an all-inclusive deluxe lodge on the edge of the Atacama Desert, boasting 10 private suites, a fresh swimming pool and an open-air restaurant and bar.
